THANK YOU  to the members who attended the Special Notified Meeting in support of the resolution of the merge of the former Local 138 Pension Fund with the United Association Plumbers & Pipefitters Pension Fund which will secure the pensions of our brothers from former UA Local 138.

WAGE AND FRINGE BENEFIT INFORMATION Effective September 1, 2008 for both the Boston and Salem Collective Bargaining Agreements for Journeymen and Apprentices are included for your records.

THE SALEM COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT which expired August 31, 2008 was extended for 2 years through August 31, 2010.  Members voted to approve an increase of $8.00/hr.  The breakdown is as follows:
                Sept. 1, 2008          $2.00/hr                Sept. 1, 2009        $2.00/hr
                March 1, 2009         $2.00/hr                March 1, 2010        $2.00/hr

LOCAL 12 RETIREES will hold a meeting at Local 12 on Wednesday September 17 , 2008 at 10:30 AM.  The guest speaker will be Sgt. Phillip Terenzi from the Boston Police Dept. Harbor Patrol Unit discussing their responsibilities in Boston Harbor.

ESTIMATING AND (CAD) COMPUTER ASSISTED DRAWING COURSES will be offered in January 2009 if there is enough interest.  Members should register with Training Coordinator Rick Carter at 617-288-1010.
